We met Oleksandra in May 2023 for the first time. She visited the Base UA mobile clinic, on the day we were operating with our Primary Health Care Unit (PHC Unit) for the first time. This beautiful truck, which was sponsored by our partners Cadus<\/a>, offers plenty of space for examinations and treatments as it is functioning as a doctor\u2019s practice \u2013 only on wheels.<\/p>\n\n

General Info About Primary Health Care<\/summary>\n

Our PHC unit operates at least twice a week to provide people in the embattled and liberated areas with basic medical care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the support of our partner organization Cadus, we have procured a truck that functions like a fully equipped clinic on wheels – including ECG and vital function measurement. We work with a doctor from Kramatorsk who accompanies us to every clinic and provides basic medical care. We also always have fully stored pharmacy with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As soon as a case requires more intensive care, we are also on hand and provide the person with special medication and\/or send them to a special hospital, including transportation – which takes up the remaining five days of the week.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n

Oleksandra also had herself examined here. She had a large tumor on her face that had been growing for three years. Doctors had refused to remove it due to the high risk of surgery.<\/p>\n\n

Olena Merezhko, a doctor at our mobile clinic, advised Oleksandra to contact the Regional Territorial Medical Association in Kramatorsk. She helped Oleksandra to make an appointment with Mykhailo Hlanko, a highly qualified oncologist.<\/p>\n\n

Dr. Hlianko examined Oleksandra and agreed to remove her tumor. The operation was successful and the results are impressive.<\/p>\n\n

The Regional Territorial Medical Association in Kramatorsk continues to diagnose and treat oncological diseases. They provide services to cancer patients who need chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation therapy.<\/p>\n\n
