Is there a universal “recipe” for evacuation? Yes and no.

First, receive a request, plan, prepare, execute, report – this is the protocol that our team uses to evacuate civilians. But what is often overlooked: Behind each evacuation is a person with his or her own unique story and life circumstances, and these features must be taken into account.

In the case of Natalia’s evacuation, this is how we approached her case. The woman has a broken hip, so her transportation had to be as careful as possible, and she could be transported only in a lying position.

All Base UA members are trained in first aid

For such cases, we use our ambulance, which is designed to provide decent and comfortable transportation conditions for people with special needs.

In addition, all members of our evacuation team have undergone first aid training and practical training in the proper transportation of injured, seriously ill, and sedentary patients.

The result? Natalia received all the support she needed on her way to Dnipro, where she was met by our regular partners from VostokSOS.

We would also like to thank our local partners for their assistance in the evacuation of Natalia.
